This Privacy Policy is applicable to the AnyDex mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"), developed by R Steiner (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider") as a Free service with optional paid features. This service is provided "AS IS".

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Application collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2026-02-14.

What Information Does the Application Obtain and How Is It Used?

The Application collects certain information that you voluntarily provide when creating an account, editing your profile, or using the features of the Application.

The Service Provider may collect:

Email address
Username or display name
Profile photo (uploaded by you or retrieved from a third-party authentication provider such as Google Sign-In if you choose to use it)
User-generated content, including but not limited to text, images, notes, tags, labels, or other materials you create or upload within the Application
Feedback content you submit through the in-app feedback feature
Content you submit for AI-powered generation or assistance features
Voice input data when you use the speech-to-text feature

This information is used solely to:

Create and manage your account
Authenticate users
Store and display your content
Provide AI-powered content generation features
Convert speech to text when you use voice input
Process subscription access
Respond to feedback and support requests
Maintain and improve the Application

Your email address may also be used to send essential service-related communications such as security alerts, account notifications, or critical updates.

Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The Application offers optional paid subscriptions, including “AnyDex Plus.”

All payments are processed securely through the Google Play Store or the applicable app marketplace. The Service Provider does not collect or store your full payment card information.

The Service Provider may receive limited purchase-related data from the app marketplace, such as:

Subscription status
Purchase confirmation
Renewal or cancellation status

This information is used solely to enable and manage your access to subscription features.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features

The Application includes optional AI-powered features (such as item "Quick Draft") that assist users in generating and organizing content.

AI functionality is implemented using Google’s Genkit framework and Gemini models.

When you choose to use AI-powered features:

The content you submit for that specific AI request (such as text, structured item descriptions, or transcribed voice input) may be transmitted securely to Google’s AI services for processing.
Processing is performed using Google AI infrastructure and Gemini models.
AI processing occurs only in response to your explicit request.

The Service Provider does not use your personal data to independently train AI models. Data processed by Google’s AI services is handled in accordance with Google’s applicable privacy and data processing terms.

Use of AI-powered features is entirely optional. If you choose not to use these features, your data will not be transmitted to AI systems.

Voice Input and Audio Processing

The Application offers an optional voice input feature that allows you to dictate text using your device’s microphone.

When you choose to use voice input:

Microphone access is requested only with your permission.
Audio is processed solely to convert speech into text.
Audio is not continuously recorded.
Audio is not stored by the Service Provider beyond what is necessary to complete the transcription request.
Depending on device configuration, audio may be processed locally on your device or securely transmitted to a third-party speech recognition service for transcription.
Microphone access is used exclusively for this feature and only when you actively initiate voice input.

Information Collected Automatically

The Application may collect certain information automatically, including:

Device type
Unique device identifiers
IP address
Mobile operating system
Application version
Screen size
General usage data related to how the Application is used

This information is used to maintain performance, diagnose issues, improve stability, and ensure compatibility across devices.

In-App Feedback and Screenshots

The Application allows users to submit feedback through an in-app feedback tool.

When submitting feedback, you may optionally include a screenshot of the Application at the time of submission. Screenshots are only collected if you explicitly choose to include them and are never captured automatically.

Feedback content, optional screenshots, and associated technical metadata are used solely to:

Review feedback
Diagnose issues
Improve the Application

Does the Application Collect Precise Location Data?

No. The Application does not collect precise real-time location information from your device.

Do Third Parties Have Access to Information?

Certain information may be transmitted to third-party services in connection with specific features of the Application. These may include:

Google services for authentication, infrastructure, and billing
Google AI services for AI-powered content generation
Speech recognition providers used for voice-to-text functionality
In-app feedback service providers

Information shared with third parties is limited to what is necessary to provide the requested feature and is processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the respective third party’s privacy policies.

The Service Provider may also disclose information:

As required by law
To comply with legal processes
To protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud
To trusted service providers who process information on behalf of the Service Provider under confidentiality obligations

Data Retention

The Service Provider retains user-provided data for as long as you maintain an account and for a reasonable period thereafter as necessary for operational, legal, or support purposes.

Automatically collected information is retained only as long as necessary for operational use and may thereafter be stored in aggregated or anonymized form.

Feedback submissions and related materials are retained only as long as necessary to review and respond unless longer retention is required by law.

Please note that some data may be required for the Application to function properly.

Children’s Privacy

The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If it is discovered that such information has been collected, it will be deleted promptly.

Security

The Service Provider implements reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information.

Access to data is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who require access to operate, develop, or improve the Application.

However, no security system can guarantee absolute protection.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European Union), you may have rights to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Restrict or object to certain processing
